NICOTINELL TTS 20 MEDIUM Transdermal patches, 10, 20 or 30 sq cm, delivering 7mg, 14mg or 21mg nicotine per 24 hours. Treatment of nicotine dependence as an aid to smoking cessation. Adults and children aged 12 years and over: For those smoking 20 or more cigarettes per day: Initially use one TTS30 ( Step 1) patch once daily. Reduce patch size at intervals of three to four weeks. Maximum treatment period three months. Caution: Not to be used by non smokers or occasional smokers. Contraindicated in diseases of the skin that may complicate patch therapy . Caution in unstable cardiovascular disease, diabetes mellitus ( monitor blood sugar closely when NRT started), allergic reactions, renal or hepatic impairment, GI disease, phaeochromocytoma, uncontrolled hyperthyroidism. Keep out of reach and sight of children. To be used in pregnancy or breastfeeding only on medical advice. intermittent dose products may be preferable for pregnant or breastfeeding women to reduce the amount of nicotine in the system. |
